End of quarter is finally over. Today was nothing short of exhausting. The only good thing is that I thought I wasn’t going to be home until well after 9 PM and I made it home by 7:45 PM. I have two whole days off now, which I definitely need. One of those days, my plan is to do a lot of nothing. I doubt it’s going to work out that way, but a girl can hope, right? Anyways, onto the review.
Style: Czech Pilsener
Trivia: According to the brewery website, “Herbal nose, slightly sweet, with a dry finish.”
Random: This beer has been brewed since 2007.
This brew poured with a half finger, pure white head that dissipated at a moderate pace. It didn’t leave any lacing on the glass. The body was a mostly clear, straw yellow color with light carbonation. The nose was very sweet, especially for the style with a lot of floral notes as well. Perhaps a dash of honey as well? The taste was just as sweet, with cereal grains taking center stage. I didn’t detect honey in the taste. The floral notes were present with some grass. It made this beer a bit too sweet and disjointed. The body was on the heavier side of the style with moderate carbonation. It had a long finish with cereal grains and grass. I was not a fan of this beer. It was too sweet for my taste and just didn’t flow well. I wouldn’t have this again.
