The week is almost over. I’ve been trying to finish up all of my Christmas shopping online because I have absolutely no desire to go near a mall to shop. I think I can finish my shopping by Monday and then I have to start wrapping, which is something I dread. I wish I could train the cat how to wrap. That would be very convenient. Anyways, this was a brew that I picked up awhile back at Canal’s. Let’s see how it was.
Trivia: According to the brewery website, “The Fest Devious line will be similar to Epic’s Exponential Line in that the beers will be limited batches of highly creative recipes designed for the Fall Seasons palate.”
Random: Every year, I have a million things that I say I will put on my Christmas list and when Christmas actually rolls around, I completely forget what it is that I want.
This beer poured with a half a finger of thick, cream-colored head that dissipated slowly and left some lacing on the pint glass. The body was a hazy, warm and dark orange color that had moderate carbonation visible. The nose had significant malt to it, with notes of caramel and nuttiness. Toasted bread was present as well with some spice as well. The body was thick with generous carbonation. It had a long, caramel malt finish. This beer wasn’t all that expensive at $5.99 for a bomber, but the body was way too heavy for the style. I wouldn’t rush back to have this one again.
