Thirsty Dog Raspberry Ale

Long time, no update. There’s a good reason for that. Primarily because we’ve finally moved into the new house. I’ve been doing a decent amount of work on it in my spare time and we have all of this space. We still have a lot of work and unpacking to do, but it’s nice to be in our own space. You’ll most likely see lots of updates regarding the house and lots of backlogged posts since I was trying to drink through as much of the beer as possible since I didn’t want to move it. Anyways, this is the third beer that I’ve had from the brewery. The other half decided to get it last time we were at Half Time. Let’s see how this one was.

ABV: 3.9%

Style: Fruit/Vegetable Beer

Trivia: This is available all year from the brewery.

Random: Moving is possibly the worst thing ever. Just saying.

This beer poured with a one finger white head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing on the glass. The body was a clear, straw yellow color with high carbonation. The nose was filled with artificial raspberry extract with a touch of wheat. The taste was flat-out awful. It was like sugar-free raspberry jello. There wasn’t much wheat and the raspberry jello flavor detracted from anything else that was in there. The body was thin with lots of carbonation. It had a long finish with the same odd raspberry flavor. The bottle was $2.39. This broke down to $.20 per ounce, which wasn’t expensive, but this beer wasn’t good. I wouldn’t have it again.

Untappd Rating: 2.5/5.0
