Round Guys Sanctified

The other half and I decided to stay in tonight. We ordered Chinese food and it seems like everything takes forever to be delivered. I guess because technically we live on a mountain now. It’s still annoying. I feel like we have slightly more delivery options here than the apartment, it’s just the delivery time is extended. Anyways, another brew that I picked up in Philly. Let’s see how it was.

ABV: 10%

Style: Belgian Pale Ale

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “Showcasing a bold malt driven sweetness, kept in check only by its subtle Nugget hops addition. Medium bodied, perfectly blends with brilliantly crafted traditional golden style ale.”

Random: Note all of the moving boxes in the background. That was all sorts of not fun.

This beer poured with a half a finger of white head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing on the glass. The body was a cloudy, golden-yellow color with light carbonation visible. The nose was light with white grapes, Belgian yeast and golden raisins. There was a touch of booze as well. The taste was nice. It had the same Belgian yeast as the nose with some cloves and then apricots and golden raisins. Pears, peach and golden apples came through as well. Booze was present, but not overly abrasive. The body was thick with moderate carbonation. It had a long finish with spice and golden apples. This was a really nice beer, despite not know what I spent on it since I lost the receipt. I would have this again.

Untappd Rating: 4.0/5.0
