Ciderboys Cranberry Road

We finally got a washer and dryer. Val makes fun of me because I love doing laundry and I used to do it every other night. But, since we’ve been so long without a washer and dryer, I’m down to doing it once a week. Plus, our new one is a full-sized one and the one that was in the apartment was much smaller, so I’m doing less loads. It also has a steam feature which is pretty cool. The cat likes watching it too, since it’s a front loader. Anyways, this was a cider that the other half let me review. Let’s see how it was.

ABV: 5%

Style: Cider

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “Check it out. Take it further. Get them all on your wave-length. Put a Cranberry Road crown on your day. Find a few thirsts to quench. Steal a few hearts along the way. Let it all hangout with cranberries belonging to a decidedly different hard apple cider. Cranberries from shallow bogs filled with early morning mist. A refreshing tart and sweet splash walking down a magic street most can’t resist. Available September 1 – November 30.”

Random: This is the cider offering from Stevens Point Brewery.

This cider poured with a half a finger of white head that dissipated instantly and left no lacing on the glass. The body was a pinkish color with high carbonation visible. The nose had notes of apple and cranberry flavored Juicy-Juice. The scent was weirdly sweet. The taste was just awful. It had a lot of artificial red fruit, specifically cherry and cranberry. Over-ripe apples were there as well. The body was light with high carbonation. It had a long and sickeningly sweet finish. This could be one of the worst ciders that I’ve ever had and I would not have it again.
