Since Vault is just across the river from us, we end up there with relative frequency. We really enjoy a beet salad that they have, along with their hummus plate, which has outstanding bread. Their beer selection is also quite solid and the taps change with a lot of frequency and they always have a lot of different styles on tap. If you haven’t been to Vault, I would highly recommend going, although some of their food is a bit expensive.

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “Brewed with German pale malt and hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, Huell Melon, and Hallertau Blanc. Notes of spicy hop, orange creamsicle, tangerine, and lemon pith”
Random: Creamsicle seems to be a flavor that a lot of beers try to hit, but it’s difficult to nail.
The beer poured with a one finger, white head that dissipated at a moderate pace. It left some lacing on the glass. The nose was very bright and fragrant. I picked up honeydew, Mandarin oranges, grass and white grapes. The taste started with the same citrus notes of Mandarin oranges and orange zest. It quickly went into tomato and cucumber with grass. The honeydew note came through at the end along with tangerine juice. The malt was muted with lightly toasted white bread cubes. It had a thin body with high carbonation. The finish was quick and bright with tangerine. This was a drinkable beer and paired well with my meal. It just didn’t wow me.
