This beer came highly recommended from the bartender at Hop Yard 62. I was curious to see if it would compare to one of my favorite cream ales, Carton Regular Coffee. One of the major differences between the two beers is obviously the ABV. Let’s see how it stands up.
Style: Cream Ale

Random: I wanted to visit this brewery during my time in Columbus, but couldn’t get out there.
This beer poured with a quarter finger of pure white head that dissipated almost instantly. It left no lacing on the glass. The body was clear and straw yellow with a lot of carbonation visible. The nose was filled with sweet honey, cinnamon and vanilla. After a few sniffs, I also picked up some graham crackers. The taste had notes of cinnamon powder doughnuts, vanilla, honey and powdered sugar with some coffee. Despite all of these flavors, they all worked well together. The body was light with a lot of carbonation. It had a lengthy finish with vanilla and cinnamon doughnuts. This beer was amazing and really reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. If you can get your hands on this, do so immediately.
