Greater Good Pulp

I’m not sure how I feel about a brewery that only does imperial style beers, but I guess that everyone needs to find a niche nowadays.

ABV: 8%

Style: American IPA

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “Welcome to THE GREATER GOOD, America’s first all-Imperial brewing company™. We’re obsessed: all that we think about, all that we dream about, all that we build are high-end ales and lagers which strictly range within the Imperial classification of alcohol from 8% to 14%. We’re committed to the production of Greater tasting beers, hand-crafted with Greater ingredients. We are defining the next level of Imperial brews. ‘Your journey is short on this blue-green marble. Our vision is to provide hand-crafted artisan brews that bring people together to share in the optimal drinking experience'”

Random: Pounder cans are all the rage these days. They’re definitely lighter to carry.

The beer poured with a finger and a half of pure white head. It dissipated at a moderate pace and left a lot of lacing on the glass. The body was bright and golden orange in color with moderate carbonation. It was slightly hazy as well. The nose was filled with pine needles and mango. There were also notes of freshly cut grass and sweet pilsner malt. The taste started with a lot of fresh pine and transitioned into overpowering green onion and cilantro. The body was light for the style with some carbonation, but not enough. It had a quick finish with a lot of cilantro. I got this beer as a gift from my parents when they went to Massachusetts, so no idea on price of this one. Either way, this beer didn’t stand out to me and I wouldn’t have it again.
