Victory KSQ Double Dry Hopped DIPA

Val and I went with some family down to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It’s about an hour away from us, but this time we stayed down there. We went to see the last weekend of the Christmas decorations at Longwood Gardens and then went to see the Winterthur mansion the following day. I had been to Longwood Gardens before, and it’s one of my favorite places, but Winterthur was new to me. We were definitely the youngest people there, but it was interesting to see the DuPont mansion. The weather wasn’t great, so we couldn’t see the gardens, but I did get to see a set of George Washington’s china. After that tour, we went to Victory for lunch.

ABV: 8.5%

Style: American Double/Imperial IPA

Trivia: This beer uses Strata, Azacca and Simcoe hops.

Random: This beer is only available at the Kennett Square location of Victory.

The beer poured with a thick, one finger white head. It dissipated slowly and left a lot of lacing on the glass. The body was a cloudy, bright yellow with moderate carbonation visible. The nose had a lot of hops to it with some tropical fruit and pine. I couldn’t pick up any malt to it. The taste was much of the same. It had a lot of pine up front and then transitioned into pineapple and mango with a touch of malt at the end. There was a bite from the alcohol as well. It had a moderately thick body with just enough carbonation. The finish was quick with pine. This beer was pretty good and paired well with wings. I would have it again.

Untappd Rating: 3.5/5.0
