I can’t wait for football season to start. I watched the Eagles game for a bit last night and then watched some of the Rutgers game. I was not a happy camper that they lost in overtime. ABV: 5%

Style: Witbier

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “1664 Blanc is an original wheat beer. It is a different, fresh and fruity white beer, slightly bitter with hints of citrus and coriander spices. With its modern and elegant blue bottle, 1664 Blanc is perfectly adapted to all moments of conviviality.”

Random: No matter how many times I hear it, I love Keane’s song, “Somewhere Only We Know.”

Poured with a huge, egg white fluffy head that dissipated slowly and left lots of lacing. The body is an ever-so-slighty hazy yellow with large amounts of active carbonation visible. Nose is very floral with a lot of lemon zest and some coriander as well. There is a definitely floral aspect to the nose as well. The taste is much more floral. The citrus presence is minimal and the floral aspects overtake the beer. There is some coriander to it as well. The body is on the thinner side with heavy carbonation. The finish is lengthy with some spice to it as well. The beer is okay, I just prefer a bit more citrus. It’s still worth a try.
