Lamplighter Bunnies

So, my wife and I have a nickname and it’s bunny. I have no idea how it started, but it definitely stuck. My family brought this home, so I was super excited to try it.

ABV: 6.5%

Style: New England IPA

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “A New England-Style IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Azacca and bursting with rich fruit flavor and a velvet soft mouthfeel. This beer uses a similar malt bill and strain of yeast as our Rabbit Rabbit Double IPA, but features a slightly different mix of hop additions; in other words, it’s the lower alcohol ‘offspring’ of Rabbits, with delicious notes of sweet melon, tropical fruit, and meyer lemon. Kick back, relax, and hop to it!”

Random: I would love to try this on tap.

The beer poured with a three finger, slightly off white head. It dissipated slowly and left some lacing on the glass. The body was a bright orange color that was cloudy. There was still some carbonation visible. The nose was incredibly floral and had a lot of kiwi to it as well. There was no malt on the scent. The taste was really tropical upfront. I picked up the same kiwi that was in the nose, along with pineapple and mango. There was a lot of floral notes as well. I got rose and plumeria. I also picked up some honey too. The body was on the thicker side with lots of carbonation. It had a lengthy finish with kiwi and rose. The booze was quite muted. This beer was excellent and had some great flavor. I would definitely have this again.
