I feel like breweries are popping up everywhere. It’s hard to keep up with all of them. This is a brewery that I’ve never heard of. After some research, I found that they are in Media, Pennsylvania, which isn’t too far from me. I’m going to have to take a trip out there. They have a few IPAs on tap, but also have a saison, grisette and schwarzbier. They seem to have a nice balance between styles. Let’s get right into it and see what their house IPA has to offer.
Style: American IPA
Trivia: According to the brewery, “Easy drinking house IPA with hoppy notes of citrus & tropical fruit.”
Random: This beer uses Simcoe, Crystal, Citra and Centennial Hops.
The brew poured with a half a finger of pure white head. It hung around for awhile and left a lot of lacing on the glass. The body was clear and mahogany colored with a lot of carbonation visible. The nose had some orange and lemon rind and a decent amount of caramel malt came through as well. The taste had a lot of citrus, specifically lemon and orange flesh. It had some mango at the end of the sip. There was significant malt to this as well, which gave it some sweetness. The body was on the lighter side with a lot of carbonation. It had a quick finish with malt. I enjoyed this beer a lot and it had nice flavor. Now, I’m going to have to seek out more beers from them.
