I’ve been doing a lot more walking during the day. I track everything on my Fitbit, but I’ve been a lot more consistent in hitting my goals. The only downside is that my feet consistently hurt. One thing that helps? Beer…
Style: American Pale Ale
Trivia: According to the brewery website, “You know how a familiar guitar riff can take you to a great moment? Solid Sender Ale delivers a dynamic, dependable rhythm of caramel malt and Cascade hops. Dry-hopped with Mosaic, it’s the perfect beer to get stuck in your head.”
Random: Troegs rebranding is amazing. They could have the best label art in beer lately.
The beer poured with a one finger, pure white head. It went away slowly, but only left limited lacing on the glass. The body was amber in color and clear with some visible carbonation. The nose was filled with milled grain, a touch of honey and old grass clippings. The nose was relatively muted. The taste had the same milled grain with some diluted lemon juice and old leaves and grass clippings. I kept taking sips waiting for another flavor and got a whole lot of nothing. The body was way too thin with enough carbonation to make it drinkable. The finish was quick with grain. A bottle of this was $1.67, which came to $.14 per ounce. This beer was a big letdown for me. I could see it being a suitable beer to convert people, but I won’t be having it again.
