Palma Louca Pale Pilsner

This was the last beer of the night. Katie and I ended up at a rodizio place for dinner prior to going out to the club. Katie and I are not club people, really. I mean, it’s kinda hard to take the four-year old out to the club. But, neither of us had been in a year, so we hit up two different gay clubs both Friday and Saturday nights and had a great time. This brew was one of the few at the rodizio place that I had never had.

ABV: 4.5%

Style: German Pilsener

Trivia: According to the brewery website, “Palma Louca is a very refreshing and light beer, brewed by Heineken Brazil with the finest imported malts and hops. It is a beer for the Brazilian style of fun, to be enjoyed by friends on the beach, or at hot nightclubs and lively restaurants.”

Random: I love rodizio. The only thing that annoyed me about this place was the price point. I could get better rodizio by me for less money.

This poured with a half a finger of white head that dissipated quickly and left some lacing on the glass. The body was a clear, straw yellow with high carbonation. It looked exactly like a macro. The nose was corn and hay, reminiscent also of a typical macro The taste was corn and not much else. It was incredibly simplistic. The body was light with high carbonation. It finished quickly without anything remarkable. There was absolutely nothing impressive about this beer. It was very similar to a macro and was a chore to drink. I definitely wouldn’t have this one again. Avoid at all costs.
